Tutorial Thursday - Stamping on Soap

Hi All,
Debbie here today to show you a fun and easy way to use your La-La Land stamps to stamp on soap.

You'll Need
La-La Land rubber stamp of choice
A bar of pale coloured soap with at least one flat surface *
Mod Podge and a brush
Tissue paper
Memento Ink Pad

* I find hand made soaps best as many commercial soaps have brand names indented into the surface

I'm a visual learner so here are some step by step pictures for you :)

Start by stamping your image onto the tissue paper - you may not need the whole image depending on the size of your soap.
Colour your image. I have used copics as they give you a vibrant end product. You may need to test your medium of choice out.
Cut out your image to fit your soap - you don't have to be too fussy as the top coat will hide some of your cutting imperfections.
Apply a layer of mod podge evenly across the surface of your soap. Lay the image onto the wet glue and make sure you press out any bubbles caught under the tissue paper.
Apply 2 further coats of mod podge evenly over the top of the image, drying between layers. The glue will dry clear.
Once your glue is dry you can wrap a ribbon around the soap. You can then attach a tag, make a pretty gift box or.....

Decorate a small calico bag with felt die cuts using La-La Land Craft dies like this one I did earlier.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and it has given you some ideas for personalised gifts.

Until Next Time - Happy Stamping
